HTC One M9 release date delayed in Taiwan

Teaser
It looks like a software bug has delayed the HTC One M9 release date in Taiwan. It's unknown how this will affect the global release dates.

A couple of weeks ago at MWC 2015, HTC officially unveiled a new flagship smartphone, the One M9. The Taiwanese manufacturer announced that the One M9 will be released toward the end of the month in most markets around the globe, but HTC's home market was scheduled to get the One M9 today, on March 16. Unfortunately for those who already pre-ordered the smartphone, it looks like a software bug has caused HTC to postpone the Taiwanese release date of the smartphone.

Today HTC started sending out text messages to Taiwanese customers who pre-ordered the One M9, announcing them that the smartphone's launch is to be delayed. According to FocusTaiwan, the 32GB version will be launched on March 20, while the 64GB version will be delayed until the end of the month.

When asked by China's CNA for a comment regarding the reason of the delayed launch, HTC officials stated (via email) that the One M9 is still waiting for "the latest version of software". According to rumors, the delay is caused by a software bug that causes boot failures, although there's no concrete evidence to back this up. At the moment, it is unknown if this delay will affect the global One M9 release.
