HBO GO, is set to provide our favorite shows also on Kindle Fire and other Android powered tablets. HBO GO one of the major cable television networks that provide everything on demand that is under its catalog will be now in our tablets.
Though it had a rough start as the services were only available only on certain devices but now HBO has updated the HBO GO Android applications that will support devices running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
As reported to PC Magazine last week, coming summer we can expect the Android tablets with HBO GO but as of now it is still in the development stage. Now HBO GO for Android is only optimized for Smartphones.
One of the major drawbacks that will be faced is, one cannot just buy HBO GO a-la-carte, and we have to subscribe to HBO via our cable/satellite provider.
It is surprising that Comcast subscribers still can’t access HBO GO via Roku but interestingly it supports the current Android App (along with iOS versions). HBO GO is not expected on an Apple TV, though we can surely watch it in some way.
