The Pixel 2 has surfaced in the flesh in a new blue hue. The HTC-made device will also come in regular black and white colors when it launches on October 4.

Mountain View seems to be sprouting leaks all over the place at the moment. Not only has the new Google Pixelbook been revealed ahead of its launch, but the HTC-made Pixel 2 has now also seen the light of day. It looks as though the eagerly awaited device will come in three colors including a new “Kinda Blue” color.

Like the Pixel 2 XL made by LG, it will also come in a standard “Just Black” and a regular “Clearly White.” Unlike the Pixel XL 2, there doesn’t appear to be an equivalent combined black and white model available for the junior sibling on this occasion though. It will, however, share the same high-end Snapdragon 835 internals and of course launch with a stock version of Android Oreo. As with the original Pixel, expect a unique-to-Pixel launcher to help distinguish the device as something special in the saturated world of Android.

When it launches on October 4, the Pixel 2 will come in two capacities. A 64 GB model will retail for US$649, while the 128 GB model will retail for $749. Although on the high side, the prices are consistent with similar high-end Android flagships. Sadly, gone are the days of the subsidised Google Nexus line.
