After months of teasing, Fisker has finally pulled the covers off its Ronin electric GT convertible, giving us an idea of what to expect when the vehicle eventually launches in 2025. Despite Fisker's insistence on it being in a class of its own, its 1,000+ HP and four-door, five-seater design clearly take aim at the Tesla Model S or upcoming Ronin.

Fisker had previously given EV fans drips and drabs of information about its upcoming Ronin convertible GT car, but the company's CEO, Henrik Fisker, has finally given us a proper look at what to expect when the new electric sports car lands in 2025.

Getting the most impressive specs and features out of the way first, Fisker claims that the Ronin will complete its 0-60 mph sprint in just two seconds. The company is also aiming to build the Ronin around a structural battery pack that is set to deliver over 600 miles of range from a single charge.

For context, the Tesla Model S delivers up to 1,020 HP and up to 405 miles of range, depending on the specific trim. Like the Model S, the Ronin will be available with a tri-motor AWD drivetrain, meaning it should do quite well on the track and on imperfect road conditions. That said, the long-awaited Tesla Roadster 2, which claims 620 miles of range, seemed ready for a 2023 launch last year, and, although we haven't heard much about it recently, it will be interesting to see how the two sports cars stack up when Tesla's four-seater electric sports car eventually launches.

It will be interesting to see if Fisker will have to resort to manually or automatically switching between AWD, FWD, and RWD power delivery to achieve its ambitious 600-mile range.

Fisker also highlighted a few of the Ronin's creature comforts during the livestream, making sure to point out the front butterfly and rear suicide doors. Fisker envisions the Ronin as a luxury family-friendly sports sedan that delivers an exciting driving experience.

Speaking about the Ronin, Henrik Fisker mentioned that it would be a technology carrier for the brand, indicating that some of the features it develops for the Ronin would likely make their way to vehicles like the PEAR, Ocean, and Alaska in some way.

Fisker has not yet announced pricing for the Ronin, although it's unlikely to launch anywhere south of the US$100,000 mark, given it will be at least partially hand-built, and more than a small part will be made of carbon fibre.
