Eee Slate B121 reaches Swiss soil

Business edition of ASUS’s EP121 is now available in Switzerland

ASUS’s Transformer tablet is all the rage nowadays, but the Taiwanese company does have some other tablets in their lineup. The Eee Slate B121 is one such device, and the business edition of the EP121 can now be purchased by Swiss tablet lovers.

First hinted at back in May of this year, the B121 has already made its way to various shops across the Alps, according to Notebook Italia. Even though the device was never formally introduced, based on the many listings it looks like it’ll feature an Intel Core i5 470UM processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 64GB of storage and a 12” TFT display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. Sadly, the B121 doesn’t appear to be much different than EP121, with the only noticeable change being the inclusion of Windows 7 Professional rather than Home Premium.

Although we were expecting more new features out of the B121, the original EP121 was still a solid tablet (as noted by our review here). However, if the Pro version of Windows 7 means that much to you, then you can head on over to Switzerland and pick up the tablet for a price of 1300 Francs (~$1660). And you never know, it might be worth making the trip just to be able to hit the slopes and grab a mug of that famous Swiss hot chocolate!
