Casio launches the rugged, business oriented Casio VX tablet

Casio isn't one of those brands that you think of when you think of a tablet. However, Casio has just announced that it will launch VX Tablet by fall, 2012. This is its first Android platform tablet computer following the recent launch of Casio’s VX-100 Android platform EPOS terminal.

The 10.1 inch tablet runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich and comes in a tough ruggedized chassis making it both drop resistant and splash proof. It has the usual communication options such as Wi-Fi and integrated GPS for accurate positioning but also promises a battery that manages to last for up to 12 hours.

The price of this tablet isn't available yet but from what we know, it will be targeted for commercial use rather than regular consumers.
