CES 2012 Exclusive | Acer Aspire S5 Ultra-slim laptop

Acer has revealed the Aspire S5 which is the slimmest laptop ever, substituted with the new Magicflip I/O and the Thunderbird

Acer, at the CES 2012 at Las Vegas has revealed a laptop covering a height of 15 mm and a width of 13.3 inches which makes it the thinnest laptop yet. The laptop coined as “Acer Aspire S5 Ultra-slim laptop” encloses an HDMI and USB 3.0.

The laptop weighing just a 1.35 kg turns up with a black metal casing and Acer’s latest “Instant-On” and “Always connect” functionality. Although the Instant on and always connect functionality may deploy the laptop, they help save energy. Both should ensure a rapid deployment of ultra-Books, but help save energy.

The control of the Aspire S5 the interface by means of a connector which is operated by an I/O panel located at the back. The price of the laptop has been planned to be revealed in the near future.

To this new invention, Acer calls the “ Magicflip I/O” followed by the integrated bar next to HDMI,USB 3.0 as the “Thunderbolt”. The Acer Aspire will be the second quarter of 2012 which will successfully bring (Q2/2012) to the market and its users.

Acer has not yet revealed the core components, but given out that the main processor is the Intel Core CPU. The main memory and graphic specifications are not yet specified. The company has suggested as the mass storage device would be a fast SSD.
