AVADirect rolls out Sandy Bridge based Clevo P151HM notebook

The company announced upon introducing Intel's new 2nd-generation Core i5 and i7 "Sandy Bridge" processors to its portfolio of notebooks and desktops

AVADirect, the American computer manufacturing company, that specializes in custom computer systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, high-end workstations and gaming systems, business PCs, and notebooks has lately featured some important announcements.

In a recent development, the company is said have officially announced to be integrating Intel's Sandy Bridge platform into its portfolio of desktops and notebooks. This will allow increased performance and more affordable products to be rolled out into the technology ecosystem. The company located in Twinsburg, Ohio near Cleveland claimed that Intel's Sandy Bridge platform will prove to be a boon to gaming desktops by providing for easily achievable overclock speeds and improved physics performance, in addition to improved battery life due to the 2nd-generation processor's reduced power consumption and heat generation.  AVADirect also stated that Custom non-gaming desktops allow for increased multi-tasking and efficiency, achieved at lower costs due to the integrated HD graphics. This eliminates the need for a dedicated graphics card to drive the display.

The Company acknowledged that HTPC users can experience the slim-streamed integrated HD graphics engine for viewing HD movies, digital TV, and streaming video making HTPCs built from Sandy Bridge the ideal solution for any media center requirements.

Specifications

The Sandy Bridge-based, 15.6-inch Clevo P151HM notebook features a full HD (1920 x 1080) Matte LED display. It is capable of accommodating up to 16 GB DDR3-1600 SODIMM memory (2 slots). In addition the Clevo P151HM notebook comes bundled with Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M 1.5 GB graphics and SATA 3 Gb/s HDDs or SSDs. Connectivity is provided by 802.11 a/g/n wireless. There is the added flexibility to choose between Core i5 and i7 socket G2 processors.

Price

The Sandy Bridge-based, Clevo P151HM notebook is priced at $1425.61 while the Custom Gaming PC Core desktop (DGS-I7-P67SLICFX) that is also Sandy Bridge-based is pegged lower than the Clevo P151HM notebook at a price of $1332.68.  This base price however varies, making it shoot upwards according to custom-tailored configurations of users.
