Teaser
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer debuts a new phone to be released very soon.

Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone for China called the Mi 4C with some good specifications at a very affordable price. The smartphone uses is a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1080p. Earlier assumptions were correct in that the Mi 4C uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and the Adreno 418 GPU, as well as the inclusion of a USB-C port. The processor is hexa-core, and the device will release with 2GB of RAM. The base model also contains 16GB of storage space.

The Mi 4C features dual SIM technology, which is an important feature for various developing nations, China included. Interestingly, there are two different versions of the device, and the 32GB version is more than just an upgrade to the storage capacity. Along with the storage increase comes 3GB of RAM as well for those who feel they need more memory as well. Both versions of the device have a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

A unique feature of the Mi 4C is the inclusion of an infrared sensor, allowing users to control their TVs directly from the smartphone. In terms of battery, the device will release with a 3,080mAh battery which could provide all-day battery life. While the specs are not of a flagship smartphone, the price of the Mi 4C in China is the equivalent of $204, and it goes to show that phone manufacturers are today able to create powerful phones that are still relatively affordable. The Xiaomi Mi 4C will release in China tomorrow.
