Apple has recently introduced a new accessory for their iPad, which helps you to put your iPad on a pedestal and is called the iOstand. This accessory is produced by folks at iOmounts. This stand comes in mainly three colors- black, white, and stainless steel.
Although its name suggests as if it is only for Apple product but it is also capable of holding other tablets. It mainly consists of three components- a weighted base, the pedestal with a ball at the end and a powerful magnet that adheres to the ball. At last it also contains a metal ring that sticks on the back of the iPad and the ring adheres to the magnet.
This accessory allows your iPad or any other tablet to easily get manipulated into a portrait or landscape mode and tilt it at any angle you are comfortable with. However they have also mentioned that the magnet isn’t so powerful that iPad will remain stuck to it no matter what. So you just need to be careful enough, not to tilt the device so it potentially falls.
Although this accessory might not feel to be important for most of the consumers but for those who mostly use their devices for watching media can give it a shot. The white and the black models of the product are priced at $89 while the stainless steel version is priced at $109. Although the price seems to be a bit high, but according to Apple the first batch of the accessory has already been sold out and the next shipment of the iOstands might be available by March.
