Tesla has started populating the features of its autonomous ride-share platform in the app, and some of its first robotaxi service mentions include tide feedback and state-of-vehicle ratings.

As all such shared transportation services, Tesla's robotaxi platform will begin each ride with a rating of the state they have found the autonomous vehicle in.

That has been rumored for a while, but it has now become a fact after the first lines of code for the upcoming Tesla ride-share platform have appeared in the iOS app. Tesla intends to start offering a pilot robotaxi service on unsupervised FSD this June in Austin, so it is only natural that it is already populating the app with the respective section code.

Tesla is starting with the beginning and end of an autonomous ride-share vehicle journey, such as endpoints for rating how clean the vehicle is upon summoning it, and one for feedback after the trip is over.

That's how every such platform works, and Tesla recently demonstrated a robotic cleaning station for its robotaxis. If someone reports a dirty vehicle in the app, the vehicles that are part of Tesla's unsupervised FSD fleet, will ostensibly go to those stations to have their interior vacuumed, screens polished, and any bottles or cups removed automatically.

Tesla will probably start the ride-share platform with existing HW4 vehicles such as the 2026 Model Y Juniper with its 4D cabin radar, as well as the Model 3 or the Cybertruck. It will then add the Cybercab two-seater at some point next year, pending regulatory approval for an autonomous vehicle without pedals or a steering wheel.

Despite some accidents like the recent crash of a Cybertruck driving on FSD, Tesla is convinced that the system will be demonstrably safer than a human driver by the time the robotaxi service launches in June, and recently showed some stats to back the claim up.

It is evidently going ahead with the pilot robotaxi service on the streets of Austin and should come up with a platform debut and a demo ride event next quarter before its ride-share platform launches. Tesla is starting with vehicles it owns and operates, but if the pilot launch proves a success throughout the US by the end of the year, it said it will allow owners of current Teslas to add their vehicles to the platform against a commission it will take for providing and maintaining it.

The success or failure of Tesla's robotaxi ride-share platform will depend on pricing and commission, as well as the safety record and the public's perception about it, considering Musk's antics. During the Cybercab's unveiling, Elon Musk was convinced that Tesla could lower the price per mile to just $0.25 when the two-seater is produced at scale, which would be pretty enticing compared to current ride-share options.
