Update adds improved camera, left-handed stylus support and Android 4.3 to NVIDIA's first tablet.

NVIDIA first announced their Tegra Note 7 back in September, throwing their hat into the tablet market, and the device is now set to receive its first major update. The OTA release mainly adds stylus and camera enhancements to the device, but an Android version change and other features are also along for the ride.

For starters, the update adds always-on high-dynamic range (AOHDR) capabilities to the tablet's camera, allowing for more "lifelike images" in various lighting along with more optimal usage of the Tegra 4 processor. Stylus interaction has also been improved on the device, adding support for left-handed users while  improving overall responsiveness. Other upgrades also include video stabilization, data and application transfer to the external microSD cards and the usual security and bug fixes.

Last but not least, NVIDIA has fulfilled their original promise of the Tegra Note 7 running Android 4.3, rather than the 4.2.2 version that was included at launch. And while that might not be as shiny as Google's latest 4.4 KitKat, it is an encouraging step in the right direction.
