T-Mobile Moto X gets Android 4.4.4 update
Moto X is a very popular smartphone which packs a lot of unique features for a tempting price. A few weeks ago, the Moto Maker website became available for UK, Germany, and France. The Verizon variant will arrive on September 26 and now, after quite a long wait, Moto X users on T-Mobile will finally get their taste of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
According to Droid Life, the T-Mobile variant of this smartphone is controlled as an unlocked device and should be one of the handsets that receive software updates directly from Google as soon as they come out. Unfortunately, this time it is the other way around. AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon made Android 4.4.4 KitKat available to their users a few weeks ago, and T-Mobile's Moto X will be the last one to get it.
All T-Mobile Moto X handsets should get the update automatically in the next few days. Once the firmware update is complete, the software version number should go up to 213.44.1., with kernel version 3.4.42. The check can be done by going to Settings>About Phone>System updates.
