Starlink introduced a smorgasbord of subscription promotions and equipment purchase incentives at the start of the quarter, and most of those are now carried over to September as well.
To augment the satellite Internet price reduction that saw it cut the subscription fee down to $65/month in certain areas for the Residential Lite plan, Starlink is now offering a free month of service. The promo is targeting ex-Starlink subscribers who for some reason cancelled their service. To win them back as new customers, Starlink offers a one-month subscription fee gratis, or up to $120 value, depending on the area. The free Starlink payment promo will run until September 30.
SpaceX entices the potential new Starlink customers further by informing them that it has launched more than 2,300 new satellites over the past year, and they will now be coming back to higher speeds, lower latency, and more robust signal coverage.
50% off Starlink dish deal
Besides the vow renewal and monthly subscription plan promos, Starlink is keeping another generous deal going. The Starlink Standard Kit can be had at a significant discount. When ordered by new customers, the dish is available for only $175, a 50% reduction of its original $349 tag and the widest price difference with the Starlink Mini dish available since its launch.
The 50% off Starlink dish deal offer is likely to last throughout the quarter, and it is available anywhere in the US, unlike the plan price reductions. Those who live in areas with too many Starlink subscribers are not only deprived of the current plan price discounts, though, but also have to pay hefty congestion fees.
Those can reach up to $1,000 in certain areas of the Northwest, which will likely discourage any former Starlink subscriber there from signing up anew, no matter how many free subscription months Starlink throws at its ex-customers to entice them back into the satellite Internet fold.
