Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy F62 on February 15. It will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, four rear cameras, up to 256GB of storage, and a 7,000mAh battery. The smartphone will be launched in India first. International availability is likely but under a different name,

It is quite common for OEMs to recycle previous-generation hardware to create newer mid-range products. For quite some time, Samsung has been doing it with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which ran the Galaxy note 9's Exynos 9611 SoC. The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus' Exynos 9825 is all set for its second appearance alongside the Samsung Galaxy F62. Samsung will launch the smartphone in India on February 15 via Flipkart.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 was initially thought to be the Samsung Galaxy M62. Subsequent leaks speculated, and subsequently debunked, the notion that it would be a tablet. Its Geekbench appearance confirmed that it would run an Exynos 9825 SoC. Other exciting Samsung Galaxy F62 specifications include a gargantuan 7,000mAh battery, up to 256GB of storage and a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel. A 64MP sensor will spearhead its quad-camera sensor, and a 32MP camera will handle video calls and selfies.

It is far too easy to speculate just how much the Samsung Galaxy F62 will cost. In all likelihood, it will retail around INR 25,000 (US$350) to compete with likes of the Realme X7 Pro. However, the lack of 5G connectivity will put off many potential customers. Two of India's network providers -Airtel and Reliance Jio- plan on rolling out 5G networks in select cities by July 2021.
