Questyle has launched the M18i portable Bluetooth USB-DAC with headphone amplifier and built-in battery. The M18i supports 4.4 mm balanced and 3.5 mm single-ended headphone connections, and is compatible with Android, Apple, HarmonyOS, MacOS, Windows, and gaming devices. The Questyle M18i has an MSRP of $399 and is available from Amazon today.
Dual USB-C ports allow the M18i to simultaneously stream high-resolution music and charge while physically connected to audio sources. The device can also stream music wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.4 connections using Hi-Res LDAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, LE Audio, SBC, or AAC audio codecs. An AI-powered microphone enables HD calls with background noise reduction.
A multi-function control button allows users to play, pause, and skip tracks with ease. A mode switch allows quick selection of PC, phone, and Bluetooth connections. A High/Low gain button enables better headphone impedance matching. The current DAC status is displayed on a laminated OLED screen.
The M18i uses dual ESS ES9219Q chips to decode audio streams, including PCM 384 kHz and DSD256 audio streams, with an ultra-low distortion of 0.00002%. Further information on the signal-to-noise, THD, and other specifications have not yet been revealed.
