ATI Mobility Radeon X700: ATI Mobility Radeon X700 is the middle class graphic card for notebooks of the X000 series (the 1000 series). Its performance can be compared with NVIDIA Go 6600. Technically it is comparable with the desktop X700 graphic chip + energy saving functions.
Lower end of Graphics Cards for users who want to play games. New games should run on these cards, but only with decreased details and mediocre resolution.

Intel Pentium M: With Intel chip set (855 or 915) and Intel WLAN also available with the name Centrino (name for the package).
In the comparison very fast per megahertz and very modest with weaknesses in floating point operations.
It is also available as a low voltage version with very small current consumption.

15.4": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays. Nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact.

2.8 kg: This weight is average for notebooks. Therefore the numerous mass of laptops with 15 inch display fits in this class of weight.
Packard Bell: Packard Bell is a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Acer. It is a name used by two different consumer electronics companies. The first was an American radio manufacturer founded in 1926, that later became a defense contractor and manufacturer of other consumer electronics, such as television sets. Teledyne acquired the business in 1978. In 1986, investors bought the name for a newly formed personal computer manufacturer. Originally the company produced discount computers in the US, later computers were produced for the European market. NEC took it over in the late 1990s. Acer acquired it in 2008. In spite of the similarity of their names, there has never been any corporate connection between the original or later Packard Bell and Hewlett Packard, or Bell System. Packard Bell is an international notebook manufacturer, but with quite few market shares and few reviews. Until now (2009), the company focussed ruggedized laptops.
85%: This rating is to be considered as average, because the amount of notebooks with better ratings is about equal like the amount with worse ratings.
