Nubia details core specs of camera flagship Z80 Ultra ahead of its imminent launch

Nubia has already launched the gaming-focused RedMagic 10 Pro flagship phone series, and now, it's gearing up to introduce the Z80 Ultra, a camera-focused phone. Through the recent teasers, the company has already confirmed a handful of the phone's highlights, and now, through a separate teaser, it has detailed the core specs of the device.

One of the major highlights of the Nubia Z80 Ultra is the camera setup. The company says that the flagship phone features a custom 35 mm "Light and Shadow Master 990" sensor on the back. It's said to be capable of delivering detail-rich captures, and is paired with a "super-large" 18 mm ultrawide and 15 cm telephoto sensor.

The brand highlights that this camera setup of the Nubia Z80 Ultra is backed by AI-enhanced features, and users can opt for the photography kit to capture pro-grade pictures with the flagship phone. Nubia has also detailed the display of the Z80 Ultra. It's a 6.85-inch X10 screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 2,592 Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, the phone packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is paired with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM for superior performance. Nubia says that the Z80 Ultra has the same game engine as the RedMagic 11 Pro, making it deliver an enhanced gaming experience.

A 7,200 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired fast charging powers the internals of the phone (160 W Anker Prime charger curr. $115.99 on Amazon), and there's support for 80 W wireless charging. The company has yet to share the pricing and global availability details of the Z80 Ultra, but these pieces of info should emerge soon.
