New leaks point to a future Samsung Galaxy M12 with a 7000mAh battery and eye-catching finishes
91Mobiles now asserts that Samsung will replace the Galaxy M11 with a 2021 phone of vast improvements in at least one area. This could be its alleged 7000mAh battery, which is currently the largest offered by this OEM and is the preserve of the M51 among its mobile devices at present.
However, this class-leading spec is apparently set to trickle down quite a few product tiers in the near future. The M12's existence may also be supported by several images of a novel rear panel that reportedly bears its possible model number (SM-M127F/G).
Interestingly, one of the same photos shows a second number - SM-F127G - hinting that this phone might be rebranded as the Samsung Galaxy F12 in some markets. One or two also show that the phone seems to have a choice of patterned finishes: two-tone or pin-stripe.
This suggests that one is intended for the putative addition to the M-series and another for the rumored upcoming F-series variant. Then again, no other specs, SoC, RAM or internal storage included, is known about this F/M12. Prospective fans might hope for something close to the M11's Snapdragon 450/3-4GB/32-64GB SKUs in order to keep its successor's price at its ~US$145 level.
