Steam sees new releases every now and then, and besides the paid titles, the platform gets a handful of freebies pretty much every week. One of these newly launched free games is Fallstruktur, which became available on August 6, 2025. Shortly after the release, the title climbed the "New & Trending" chart.
More specifically, Fallstruktur is now at the sixth spot on the trending chart, and the free game has good player reception as well. There are currently 84 player reviews, and among them, 97% are positive, making the 3D platformer get the "Very Positive" overall rating.
As for the game itself, the core gameplay is mostly about descending through a world of interconnected vertical geometry. Players get to explore the dream-like environment with secret paths. It offers a first-person view, and the controls are physics-based, simulating a sensation of falling, which is where Fallstruktur gets its name from.
The main challenge is to avoid splintering into pieces when players fall, and given that it's not easy to manage a safe descent, one player even regarded it as the "Dark Souls of climbing down games." Of course, unlike most platformer free games available on Steam, this one is on the shorter side. To be specific, it offers around 60 minutes of playtime, but the good part is that there's support for Steam's Workshop, allowing players to add custom content.
