The rugged design includes many features found on high-end notebooks

If durability and power are your top concerns for a laptop, consider ordering an xTablet C1200 from the company MobileDemand. This laptop includes a swiveling screen to allow for tablet or laptop use, but is specially built to handle harsh environments, dust, accidental spills and drops of up to 4 feet according to its press release. It even has a build in handle for easy carrying and would be ideal for those constantly on the move who don’t have time to worry about bumping or scratching their laptops.

Although extremely sturdy, MobileDemand did not cut back on the specifications at all. The 12.1-inch tablet PC will be powered by an Intel Core i5 520UM processor, 2GB of upgradeable RAM, a solid state drive, optional GPS, e-SATA, 1.3 megapixel webcam, 1280 x 800 resolution screen and run Windows 7 Professional. Unfortunately, the company does not seem to provide the weight or dimensions of the laptop, which would be interesting to know considering the high durability and build quality of the product.

MobileDemand is now taking orders for the xTablet C1200 through the official website while production of the product is expected to begin this March.
