The Lenovo’s 2-in-1 convertible laptop packs versatile features that could match the professionals’ needs. Despite the absence of the usual I/Os, the laptop can perform smoothly, provide good connectivity features, and boast a decent battery life. Plus, it could also be a reliable companion device for multitasking and productivity, especially with the detachable keyboard, flexible kickstand, and the Lenovo E-Color pen, which artists will love.

The Duet 7 aims to be the ultimate tool for productivity with an endless battery life, top-of-the-line computing power, efficient input devices, crystal-clear images and smart features such as face recognition and the voice assistant Amazon Alexa. The device manages to cover most but not all of these aspects. The gap to the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 remains.

Overall, the Lenovo Yoga Duet 7 is a good laptop for everyday productivity. It has a starting price of P64,995 and not only it has a great performance and sleek design but its flexibility is the best thing that this laptop has. You can use it in whatever setup you like, you can even put the screen on a table while having the keyboard on you and rest at the back of your chair. The Yoga Duet 7 for me is something that is worth the money.

There’s a fair share of tradeoffs though – your I/O options are limited to Type-C and the laptop isn’t really fit for anything graphically intensive like playing games or editing videos, though photo editing isn’t off the table.

The Duet 7i isn’t trying to push the performance to a whole new level, and Lenovo has never made any such claim. A device like the Duet 7i is for those who give more preference to portability yet want a full-fledged laptop experience. The hybrid form factor has advantages over the traditional laptop design but flaws too. The tablet adds an extra touch, something you don’t get from a regular laptop. The form and design are great and so are the screen, kickstand, and the bundled keyboard and stylus. Can the Duet 7i replace a laptop? I think the answer to this really depends on what you use your laptop for. If you, like me, mostly write, check emails or watch a lot of videos all day, you might want to consider the Duet 7i. But if your demands are high (like coding, or rendering videos), I think you should look at other options.

The Lenovo Yoga Duet 7i delivers everything it’s supposed to: a balanced experience between a Windows tablet and a traditional laptop without compromising on performance. Moreover, the fact that a keyboard and stylus are included gives it an edge over rivals like the Microsoft Surface Pro, which requires accessories to be purchased separately. Priced at Rs. 79,990/-, it is a good buy if you are looking for a convertible device. If you look at the available options for this exact design, then you have Microsoft’s Surface Pro, which is a bit more expensive. Of course, you can also get away with unorthodox alternatives like an iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard and Apple Pencil. But a keyboard that matches the footprint of the main tablet and easily snaps into place for portability makes the Lenovo Yoga Duet 7i a good option to consider at this price.

For its asking price of Rs 79,999, the Lenovo Yoga Duel 7i doesn’t come in cheap and commands a premium over similarly-specced, conventional laptops because of its hybrid form factor. The latter is its mainstay anyway. The battery life isn’t a strong suit, but the device delivers on aspects like display, reasonable performance, usability, keyboard ergonomics etc. Aesthetics are among its strongest talking points, while the flexibility it can offer does make it worth considering too.

Intel Comet Lake:
i5-10210U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.6 and 4.2 GHz (all 4 cores 3.9 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4-2933 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). Compared to the faster i5-10510U, the level 3 cache was reduced from 8 to 6 MB.
i7-10510U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced on 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.8 and 4.9 GHz (all 4 cores 4.3 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). 13.00:
There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
