Lenovo's refreshed Mac Studio rival, the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 2, was showcased at the 2025 Think AI Spring event in China. Now, with an IFA 2025 launch, Lenovo has officially brought it to the global market. However, unlike the Chinese model, the updated mini PC doesn't get the RTX 5060 Ti in the international market.
Instead, all the configurations of the updated ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 2 get the desktop RTX 5060. As for the CPU, there are two options available for the updated Apple Mac Studio rival, and the base configuration comes with the Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor with vPro.
At the Chinese debut, Lenovo mentioned that there would be a Core Ultra 5 variant, but it seems that that configuration will not be available in the global market. Instead, the international ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 2 gets an even better config, which features the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 with vPro.
Given that the GPU and CPU are well capable of handling heavy loads, Lenovo has integrated a three-fan cooling setup to keep the internals cool. The chassis is still compact, however. To be specific, it has a 3.6-liter form factor, making the mini PC ideal for most setups.
Now, while the updated mini PC has a compact form factor, it offers a decent selection of ports, including:
- 1x 20 Gbps USB Type-C
- 4x 10 Gbps USB Type-A
- 1x USB4 with PD and DisplayPort 1.4b
- 1x 5 Gbps USB Type-A
- 2x HDMI
- 4x DisplayPort
- 1x Ethernet LAN
For wireless connectivity, the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 2 offers up to WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. A 350 W integrated PSU, three M.2 slots with support for PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and a 2-watt internal speaker are among the other notable highlights of the mini PC. This updated Mac Studio rival is already available on the official Lenovo store, starting at $1,919.
