Motorola is expected to announce new Razr clamshell foldables this year. Expected to launch as the Razr 60 Ultra and the Razr 60, there have already been several leaks of the former. Now, a leak has revealed what the cheaper Razr 60 looks like and what specifications and features it will have.
The Razr 60 will have a similar design to the Razr 50 (curr. available on Amazon for $499.99) according to the renders shared by Xpertpick, It will have a large cover display, dual rear cameras, and a centered punch hole on the main display. However, while it may look no different, there have actually been some major changes.
For starters, the Razr 60 is reported to have a smaller 6.7-inch display, down from the 6.9-inch screen of its predecessor. However, it is not known if the cover display has shrunk too, although that seems likely. Nevertheless, the Razr 60 should be a little bit more comfortable to use now that it is smaller.
Another change Motorola has made is an upgrade to the phone's ingress protection (IP) rating. Unlike the Razr 50 which has an IPX8 rating, the Razr 60 is reported to have an IP48 rating which means it has protection against solid objects greater than 1.0mm such as wires, slender screws, and large ants. It's not dust tight, but it is better than nothing.
With respect to its specifications, the source says the Razr 60's main display will be a pOLED HDR10+ panel with support for wet touch. It will be powered by Mediatek's Dimensity 7400 processor, the same processor reported to power the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. It will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Motorola will equip the phone with a 50MP primary rear camera and a 32MP front-facing camera but there's no info on the secondary rear camera. It has also been revealed that the Razr 60 will have a larger 4,500mAh battery capacity, an upgrade from the 4,200mAh battery of the previous generation. It will still support 30W fast wired charging and have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Just as it has done in previous years, Motorola will partner with Pantone for the colors of the Razr 60. There will be three colors at launch dubbed Pantone Gibraltar Sea, Pantone Lightest Sky, and Spring Bud.
There's no info yet on when the Razr 60 series will be announced but considering the Razr 50 series was unveiled in June 2024, there's a chance the new series will arrive at the same time this year. When it launches, the Razr 60 should launch in North America as the Razr 2025 while the Razr 60 Ultra will be sold as the Razr+ 2025.
