In terms of power and performance there are equally impressive notebooks in the same price point as the HP Compaq nx7300 and ones that certainly offer more in the way of battery life. However, what this machine delivers is an overall quality that almost guarantees a long and productive life and for that reason alone, we like it.

Not recommended for everyone, design wise there is very few flaws if any. But lacks items you might miss like a media reader, Bluetooth, additional USB ports, and DVI port. But for those looking for an affordable business laptop that is durable, relatively lightweight, powerful, with excellent build quality, look no further -- the nx7300 is for you.

If you are a student looking for a reliable, sturdy laptop for things such as software development or just word processing or if you have a tight budget and don't want to bother about Linux compatibility, then look no further, the HP nx7300 will provide you the best bang for the buck. However, be prepared to say goodbye to your gaming collection, because there are slim chances you'll playing any of them. In that case you may want to look for some notebook with a dedicated graphic card solution.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 is an onboard integrated video chip and can be called a faster clocked GMA 900 (on Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset, which is available only starting with Core Duo/Solo). 2006 it is the most often used graphics solution and is classified in the weakest third of mobile graphics solutions. So it can only be used for elder games. For office applications and surfing it is without any doubt sufficient.

Intel Core 2 Duo: The Core 2 Duo is a successor of Core Duo and Core Solo with a longer pipeline and up to 20% speed increase without to spend more current. 64-Bit EM64T command upgrade and 2 or 4 MB L2 cache characterize this processor with its 291 millions transistors, which are finished in 65 nm.
T5500: The "T" variants of the Core 2 Duo are the standard versions in notebooks. They need less current than the "E", but more current than the "L" (low voltage) and "U" (ultra low voltage) variants.
T5500 is the weakest T-variant with 667 MHz FSB.

15.4": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays.

2.5 kg: This notebook is lighter than the average of all notebooks. It is too heavy for sub-notebooks. 14 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.
