GMKtec has introduced a new, affordable mini PC for the global market, the NucBox G3S. It's an Alder Lake system that features the aging Intel N95 processor. This entry-level system starts at $139.99, and there's a second configuration that currently costs $159.99 on the official store.
Among the two, the former is equipped with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the latter bumps the memory to 16 GB and has a 512 GB SSD. It's worth mentioning that the storage can be expanded to up to 10 TB through the two M.2 slots. However, one of the two is a SATA slot, capable of holding up to a 2 TB 2242 SSD, while the latter can hold up to an 8 TB PCIe 3.0 2280 drive (2 TB Crucial T705 curr. $159.99 on Amazon).
The RAM support of the mini PC, on the other hand, maxes out at 16 GB. While the GMK G3S features a small and compact form factor, there is a decent selection of ports. To be precise, it has the following port configuration:
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
- 1x Gigabit LAN
For wireless connectivity, the mini PC features WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Among the other highlights of the GMK NucBox G3S are VESA mount support, a quiet cooling setup, and support for dual-display output. Check out the pictures attached below to learn more about the system.
