The psychological horror series Amanda the Adventurer is about to get its final chapter. Ahead of the full release, the developers have released a free demo for the game, and it's said to offer a fresh perspective on the story.
As the final game in the trilogy, Amanda the Adventurer 3 picks up right after the events of the second installment. Speaking of the second title in the series, it is well-received by players, with a "Very Positive" rating on Steam based on over 1,000 player reviews. In the latest entry, players get to take the role of Riley Park, who, with the help of a mysterious masked woman, has narrowly escaped the Kensdale Public Library.
Riley's investigation leads to the heart of the mystery, inside the abandoned Hameln Entertainment facility. It's the place where the original Amanda the Adventurer cartoon was produced. Players get to explore this secret-filled location and solve puzzles to piece the story together.
Per the developers, the environment inside the Hameln Entertainment facility is designed to heighten the tension and immerse the players in the story's creeping dread. Like the predecessors, the third game in the series has multiple endings, and the branches depend on the player's choices and the secrets that they uncover.
Regarding the game's visuals, the latest entry maintains the signature blend of retro graphics and cartoon aesthetics. Its dark, atmospheric environments are said to create a sense of suspense that aligns well with the game's setting.
Getting back to the free demo that's available, it already has a 100% positive review on Steam with 38 player reviews. This download is said to include the introductory sequence and give a taste of what the developers have in store for the full release. Check out the video embedded below to learn more.
