Drop box update for Android now supports Ice Cream Sandwich
The Dropbox for Android application which got really popular has now been updated to version 2.0. This application now also comes integrated with support for Android 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich. This service which mainly hosts web-based file has undergone a few changes.
One of the changes this version facilitates is now the renaming of the files and folders is possible. The cloud technology is mainly employed to store the user’s documents, folder, pictures and videos which allow them to access their data from anywhere and at any time. This service has been very useful for the users who are constantly on a run and are unable to carry their hardware devices for working.
The new version has also included a feature called the Favorites by which users can gain quick access to their frequently worked on documents via their phones. Only by highlighting the important data’s with a star the particular files may be selected for instant access and even while offline.
This new update is also capable of bulk uploads, so the users need not waste time in putting up folders one by one. Multimedia content like pictures and videos can be chosen to upload in the background. The interface of the new version is also completely new, clear look and it facilitates the execution of various files and folder actions with a single tap.
Other enhancements include better gallery view, improved stability, export to local storage and also certain bug fixes. This new version is made available for free in the Android Market.
