Asus has unveiled a brand-new docking station at CES 2025, based on the shiny new Thunderbolt 5 standard. The sleek and sophisticated Master DC510 Dock sports a plethora of ports, allowing excellent functionality in an impressively compact enclosure.
For an expansion dock, connectivity options are undoubtedly the most essential aspect - and the Asus Master dock truly gleams in this regard. The product sports four Thunderbolt 5 (80 Gbps), triple Type-A (10 Gbps), Type-A (5 Gbps), SD 4.0, MicroSD 4.0, 2.5 GbE, as well as an audio port. An M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot is also present, boasting toolless access. Courtesy of the adoption of the latest standards, the dock can support up to dual 8K displays at 60 Hz, or triple 4K displays at 144 Hz.
On the exterior, the Asus Master Thunderbolt 5 Dock looks remarkably minimalist and elegant. The build features a mix of metal and plastic, along with a white ambient LED light with customizable brightness. One of the Thunderbolt 5 ports supports 140-watt passthrough, which is undeniably a handy feature. The product is only 38.1 mm tall, allowing it to slide under most monitor stands rather effortlessly.
Asus has refrained from sharing any availability or pricing details, but considering the features on offer, the Master Thunderbolt 5 Dock DC510 is certainly anticipated to command a pretty buck.
