Anker has just unveiled a new power station, the Solix C2000 Gen 2, which is will only be available for the US market. Details on a possible international launch are still pending. The Solix C2000 Gen 2 is a power station with a capacity of 2,048 Wh, utilizing lithium iron phosphate storage cells, which are reportedly characterized by high durability and so provide a long, usable service life. After 4,000 charging cycles, 80% of the original capacity still remains, which is a significant, but not dramatic, limitation after so many cycles. Either way, 4,000 cycles is likely to translate to decades of use for many users.
The 459 x 250 x 257 millimeter power station weighs 42 pounds/18.9 kilograms and comes with two handles, making it relatively transportable. A maximum output of 2,400 watts is specified, with a peak output of 4,000 watts. Such power can be used for short-term power supply, for example, but not continuously. A TT-30 connector is used, which is commonly found in motorhomes. Charging via a wall outlet is possible with up to 1,800 watts and via solar with up to 800 watts. Models designed for an on-board power outlet can be used, as can USB devices; charging of up to 140 watts is supported via USB-C.
The MSRP is $1,499, although this naturally applies to the USA. The release is scheduled for October 28 and will be accompanied by discounts
