Amazon cuts Nintendo Switch 2 prices in Europe amid rising console costs
It’s been a tough year for console gamers. Both Sony and Microsoft have hiked PS5 and Xbox Series X prices in several markets amid tariff pressures. The Nintendo Switch 2 is the only console that has survived the hikes so far, and now buyers can get it for even less in what seems like a renewed push to boost sales and demand across the EU.
In France, the console is listed for €419 at Amazon and Leclerc, about €20 below its original list price at the retailers. For some reason, French retailers had already priced the Switch 2 lower than in other EU nations like Germany, where launch prices have stayed closer to the official €469.99 MSRP. Bundles like Mario Kart World and Pokémon Legends ZA are also seeing €30 discounts, bringing them down from €499 to €469.

As we previously reported, the Switch 2 discounts appear to be permanent rather than limited-time promotions, at least according to prominent leaker billbil-kun, who claims the pricing at Leclerc is here to stay. Interestingly, Nintendo itself has not announced any official Switch 2 price cuts in Europe and continues to list the console at its original €469.99 MSRP on the Nintendo France online store. It remains unclear whether the price cuts will extend to other EU markets or the US, but it’s nice to see prices moving in the right direction.
