A tablet for the kids with a lot of games and applications for kids to start shipping this December at a price of $199

The Tablet makers are trying a lot of things on their devices to make those popular as well as unique from others. As there are a lot of tablets in the market and they differ from each other in a lot of features but the main factor differentiating them is the price factor.

The price range of these devices might really be a great factor attracting the consumers. Some of the companies are also concentrating more on other factors like the kid friendly software equipped with the tablets as we have seen in the 7inch Karuma PlayBase and the 10inch Motorola XOOM Family Edition tablets.

But this time Toys” R” Us in partnership with Fooz Kids software developer FUHU, have come up with a 7inch Nabi Tablet completely for the kids. This model has fulfilled both the factors of low price as well as kid specialized, targeting the consumers with kids. This tablet is the world’s first Android tablet that is designed especially for the kids.

This model has a 7inch display which offers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels on its multi-touch LCD. It runs on a 533MHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, an Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX530 GPU which is capable of 1080p HD video playback. It has a 4GB of internal storage. Other specifications include a 1.3MP webcam and Wi-Fi. The battery provided is 3000mAh which can offer up to a 5hours of backup.

According to the Toys” R” Us product page of the Nabi Tablet this device also offers a few other features as pre-loaded games, music, applications and books worth $150. It will run over 500 apps and games designed for kids found in Nabi app store. The award winning Fooz kids University, with over 22,000 state standardized math skills is also included. There are 30+ applications for drawing and painting.

There is also a Mommy mode for elders, where they can get access by entering a password and enjoy full featured Android tablet to browse the web and use their favorite applications.

This model will be made available for the customers by this December at only $199, and one can even place pre-orders for the tablet on toysrus.com.
