The AMD Phenom II X4 N950 Quad Core is a laptop CPU clocked at 2.1 GHz. Due to a missing Turbo and no level 3 cache, the performance of the N950 should be only on par with a Core 2 Quad Q9000. Compared to desktop CPUs, the Phenom II laptop CPUs are similar to the desktop Athlon II processors because of the missing level 3 cache. Therefore, the N950 is similar to a low clocked Athlon II X4 CPU produced in 45nm SOI.

The Phenom II includes an integrated memory controller for DDR3 (max. 1333) main memory. It supports MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4A.

Due to a missing Turbo and no level 3 cache, the performance of the N970 should be between a Core i3-330M and a Core 2 Quad Q9000. Compared to desktop CPUs, the Phenom II laptop CPUs are similar to the desktop Athlon II processors because of the missing level 3 cache. Therefore, the N970 is similar to a low clocked Athlon II X4 CPU produced in 45nm SOI.
