The AMD Athlon II Neo K125 Processor is an entry level single core CPU for small laptops. It has an integrated DDR3-1066 memory controller and supports HyperTransport 3.0 with 2000 MHz.
The performance is similar to a 1.7 GHz Pentium M / Core Solo and therefore faster than 1.6 Ghz clocked Atom CPUs in Intel based netbooks.
The AMD Athlon II X2 Neo K325 is a dual-core processor for subnotebooks. It offers an integrated DDR3-1066 memory controller and a single 16-Bit HyperTransport 3.0 Link clocked at 1000 MHz (2000 MHz effective system bus speed). The CPU is produced in 45nm SOI.
Compared to faster Turion II Neo processors like the K625 or K665, the K325 offers only a 64-Bit Floating Point Unit (Turion 128 Bit).
The performance of the slow clocked dual-core CPU is compareable to an older Intel Core 2 Duo SU2300 (1.2 GHz) or Arrandale Celeron U3400 with 1 GHz. Therefore, the performance is only suited for low demanding applications but still noticeable better than Intel Atom systems deliver.
