Wiko Rainbow Up smartphone now available for 160 Euros
French company Wiko has made available the entry-level Rainbow Up for 160 Euros as part of its Rainbow series of smartphones. Like the original Rainbow, the Up version features an 8 MP rear camera, 5-inch 720p display, and a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 SoC. LTE support is conspicuously missing here, so users must still opt for the Rainbow 4G model for 4G speeds.
Unlike the older Rainbow, the Rainbow Up ships with Android 5.0 as standard and comes with an upgraded 5 MP front-facing camera instead of 2 MP. Additionally, the newer model is slimmer and weighs 125 grams compared to 167 grams of the original. The internal battery gets an upgrade as well from 2000 mAh to 2800 mAh.
Other specifications include 1 GB RAM, dual SIM support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a MicroSD slot for up to 64 GB of storage. The usual USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio ports are present as well. The Rainbow Up will be available in Black, White, Blue, Red, and Turquoise starting this July.
