The 25th entry in the Need for Speed series is currently discounted from $69.99 to $4.89. This translates to a whopping 93% discount from the regular price tag, and this game sale will remain active on Steam until August 11, 2025.

Developed by Criterion Games, Need for Speed Unbound marks Criterion's first main development role since the release of Most Wanted in 2012. The game that's currently on sale features a unique visual style, which combines realistic car models with graffiti street art elements.

It's set in the fictional Lakeshore City, which is inspired by Chicago, and the game lets players take part in illegal street racing events during both day and night. Critics praised the customization options that this currently discounted game brings. For example, players can personalize their vehicles with wraps and change their driving effects to express style.

Need for Speed Unbound has both single-player and multiplayer modes. In the former, players take the role of an aspiring street racer who faces betrayal and has to reclaim their lost car by winning races. However, the story of this game has been criticized for its somewhat weak narrative. The voice acting is also considered weak by players who played the title.
