Asus has unveiled an AMD version of the recently launched ExpertBook P3 business laptop. They can now be configured with Ryzen AI 300 Pro Krackan point chips such as the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 340 and Ryzen AI 5 Pro 330, although, for some reason, Asus' website lists them as their non-Pro counterparts.
Like their Intel Raptor Lake-powered counterparts, the new Asus ExpertBook P3 is available in 13-inch (PM3406) and 16-inch (PM3606) flavours. One can pick between WUXGA (1920 x 1200) or WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolutions. A dGPU is not available, and one has to make do with the integrated Radeon iGPU for graphics.
Other specs include up to 64 GB of supported DDR5 RAM (via S0-DIMMs), 1 TB of solid-state storage, a 1080p webcam with an IR sensor and a physical privacy shutter. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6/7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports, and two USB 3.0 ports.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, RJ45 Ethernet and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack.
Lastly, one pick between a 70 Wh or 50 Wh battery with their ExpertBook P3. A 65-watt charger powers up the laptop, and a 90-watt model is also available. Asus hasn't mentioned the price of either notebook, but if the Intel version's price is anything to go by, $800 seems like a plausible starting point.
