Acer Aspire S5 coming to US later this month

Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook to arrive in the US by the end of June as announced by Acer and will be offered at a price of $1399

Acer has recently announced that they will be making the S5 Ultrabook available to the consumers of US by the last week of June. Earlier Acer said the device might be available by the end of the year although they had not provided any specific date.

Along with the date they have also provided the specification details too and also have revealed the price which is $1399. The Acer Aspire S5 391-9880 will be powered by a third generation Intel Core i7-35i7U processor. For storage this device will have a 256GB Solid State Drive. It will have a 13.3inch display which will be providing a resolution up to 1366x768 pixels.

Few other specifications that are mentioned to include with this device are USB 3.0 ports, ultrafast Thunderbolt port and HDMI port along with an HDMI to VGA cable adapter. This device is also touted to be the world’s slimmest Ultrabook as it measures only 0.44inches and 0.59inches thick, and also weighs only about 2.65pounds.

Other special features included with this model include the PowerSmart battery pack, which is expected to offer three times longer battery cycles compared to traditional batteries. This is about providing 15 days of standby back up or 6.5 hours of use. It also sports a 1.3 megapixel HD webcam which offers a video image at the rate of 24 frames per second.

It will also have the Acers unique Acer Green Instant On technology, and Acer Always Connect. Instant on Technology guarantees instant resume and fast boot of the device, unlike the traditional slow booting process and the Always connect technology enables the users to manage their data and multimedia files at any time even when the device is in sleep mode.
