Samsung is offering cloud storage of 50 GB, for free and got tied up with DropBox Cloud Storage

Samsung has now tied up with Cloud storage provider DropBox and are offering free cloud storage with the device. The latest Galaxy Tab 2 which includes both the Tab 7.0 and Tab 10.1 are going to provide 50GB storage of free cloud storage.

However this free storage is currently offered as time trail and the DropBox service will discontinue after one year from activation. After that the users will be to have only 2GB of storage for free on the tablets however you can to always increase the storage capacity by paying. After the 1year from the activation period 50 GB of the storage will be offered for a cost of $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

So in this offer they users will be able to use the $99.99 package for free. Although the regular home users will not have much to do with this space but they can give it a try. Once the offer term time or the 1year contract has been completed the plan will revert back to the original free plan which is 2GD of data storage.

Apart from that the Galaxy 2 Tab owner will have some more provisions for the users who continue the package for beyond two years. In the third year of activation the package the users will gain another 3GB of data storage which makes it 5 GB of data storage space for the same rate.

However till now it has not been made clear yet if the old DropBox users will gain any other bonuses added to their accounts.
