► remove from comparison
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme X2E-96-100 is the fastest variant of the X2 notebook SoCs, which was introduced in September 2025. The chip integrates 18 ARM-compatible 3rd generation Oryon cores divided into two clusters. Twelve fast prime cores are clocked at up to 5 GHz (up to dual-core, 4.4 GHz all cores) and 6 performance cores at up to 3.6 GHz. Together, the CPU section has access to 53 MB of cache.
The SoC also integrates a powerful X2-90 GPU with 1.85 GHz, an NPU with up to 80 TOPS (INT8), LPDDR5x-9523 memory controller with 128 bit and 152 GB/s bandwidth and the Spectra ISP for up to 36 MP dual cameras. Storage media can be connected via NVMe, PCIe 5.0, UFS 4.0, SD Express and SD 3.0. The chip also supports 3x USB 4.0 ports.
The CPU performance is one of the fastest mobile chips at the time of announcement (according to benchmarks from Qualcomm). Native benchmarks are on par with the fastest mobile CPUs like the Apple M4 Max, Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX or AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D. However, older and non optimized software has to be emulated and will show a reduced performance.
The SoC is manufactured with a mixture of N3X and N3P (via Computerbase) at TSMC (3nm)

► remove from comparison
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-88-100 is the second fastest variant of the X2 laptop SoC family which was introduced in September 2025. It offers all 18 CPU cores divided into 12 prime cores with up to 4.7 GHz (up to dual-core, 4 GHz all cores) and 6 performance cores with up to 3.4 GHz. Together, the CPU section has access to 53 MB of cache.
The SoC also integrates a powerful X2-90 GPU with 1.7 GHz, an NPU with up to 80 TOPS (INT8), LPDDR5x-9523 memory controller with 128 bit and 152 GB/s bandwidth and the Spectra ISP for up to 36 MP dual cameras. Storage media can be connected via NVMe, PCIe 5.0, UFS 4.0, SD Express and SD 3.0. The chip also supports 3x USB 4.0 ports.
The CPU performance should only be slightly behind the top model X2E-96-100 (higher clocked cores) and thus also in the top class of mobile CPUs in 2025. We currently assume a comparable performance with the Intel Core Ultra 7 265HX at the moment. However, this only applies to benchmarks that are available in a native ARM version. Older and non-optimized software runs significantly slower.
