News Editor
Task:
Daily, in our news section there are published short messages about laptop topics. The task is to search for laptop news in the web, create articles and implement them in our CMS Typo3. That does not require much effort but a few hours should be spent, weekly.
Prerequisits:
Reliability is the most wanted virtue. Perfect English or German knowledge (native speakers preferred) and linguistic capabilities are required. An interest in latop topics and a knowledge of technical terms is also important.
Remuneration:
The payment depends on the amount of news messages.
Review Editor
Task:
Test laptops and write reviews in the typical Notebookcheck style.
Prerequisits:
Reliability is the most wanted virtue. Perfect English or German knowledge (native speakers preferred) and linguistic capabilities are required. An interest in latop topics and a knowledge of technical terms is required. Furthermore, usually, review editors have to start as a news editor before they can become review editor.
Remuneration:
The exists a fixed payment for standard reviews. Review editors are the best paid freelancers at Notebookcheck.
Editorial assistant
Task:
Repetitively, you get a text file with standardized data sets. These data are to be inserted into a database interface.
Prerequisits:
Reliability is the most wanted virtue. Technical or linguistic qualities are not necessary.
Remuneration:
A predefined amount is paid for each dataset.
Translators
Task
A Notebookcheck translator gets orders by mails. He translates reviews and other articles at home and implements the content in our CMS Typo3. Deadlines do not exist, however, it should not take weeks to translate one review.
Logically, this system can only be applied to language sections, which already are maintained by us. If you want to translate to Polish or Russian we will refer you to the licensees, who maintain these language sections.
The use of automatic translation (translation software) is prohibited even as a support.
Payment
We pay translators a pre-determined rate per source word. Ask by mail the current price-per-word for a specific language.
Review collector
Task
Periodically, predefined magazines are to be investigated. Data like date, headline, verdict and rating get included in a text file. The text file is mailed to Notebookcheck. Currently, no review collectors for reviews in English language are needed.
Payment
A predefined value is paid for each delivered review.
User reports and other technical articles
As a freelancer and author for technical articles you provide now and then a review or user report of experiences with your own laptop or notebook, which you borrow from friends, shop owners or manufacturers.
In addition you may deliver news or other useful articles, that depends what we need at moment. If the user reports fulfil minimum requirements according length, linguistic quality, foto quality and technical competence, they will be published on the starting page and in the review section of Notebookcheck.
Licensee
Task
A new language section is established and maintained autonomously by a licensee. Notebookcheck hosts the language section, provides a part of the content, layout and technical assistance. Both sides get a share of the earnings.
Prerequisite
Reliability is most important. Furthermore, economical, editorial and hardware experience is needed. A concrete business concept is appreciated. Also, a background of optional human resources (like in existing companies) is favored.
