TAG Heuer has unveiled the Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco on May 25th. Its design is said to be inspired by versions from the 1960s and 1970s, with similar design features to the original 1969 TAG Heuer Monaco, such as a left-sided crown.
The Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch has a black, white and red color scheme with an opaline silver background. The case is made from black DLC-coated titanium, and the black strap is made from leather. Domed sapphire crystal glass protects the dial, which features a minute track around the outside, two sub-dials and the day of the month. Plus, the hour indexes and the hour and minute hands glow in the dark, helping you to read the time in low lighting.
The Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch features the Calibre 11 automatic movement, which operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 40-hour power reserve. The timepiece is water resistant to 100 m (~330 ft) and measures 39 x 15 mm (~1.5 x 0.6 inches)
The TAG Heurer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch (CAW218F.FC6356) is a limited edition product with only 970 units available. It is priced at $9,850/£8,600/€9,650 and comes with a custom travel pouch.
