Motorola may have begun rolling out Jelly Bean to Xoom owners
Android Jelly Bean 4.1 officially launched with the Nexus 7 tablet last month, but the Galaxy Nexus had been the only other device updated so far. Thankfully, Jelly Bean appears to be finally ready for the masses, as some Motorola Xoom users have reported receiving an over-the-air update of Google’s latest OS.
Based on reports by Engadget and The Verge, multiple Xoom owners have confirmed an OTA update for Android Jelly Bean 4.1, even though Motorola has yet to officially announce a rollout. The update is automatically downloaded to the devices over Wi-Fi, and adds various Jelly Bean features including a smoother UI and expandable notifications.
Motorola has yet to confirm the update, but Xoom owners should still give it a try as long as they've got a steady Wi-Fi connection.
