The Eurocom T3 Contessa is one of a handful of super-slim ultraportables with 13-inch screens to hit the market in recent months. While we appreciate the slender design and solid feel, the T3 Contessa’s $1,000 street price is about $200 more than that of the very similar MSI X-Slim X340 and Lenovo IdeaPad U350 we tested recently, while delivering the same subpar performance. And considering that the new Asus UL30A-A1, a similar 13-inch ultraportable, delivers better performance and battery life for less money than the T3 Contessa, the Eurocom entry is hard to recommend. The wafer-thin Contessa is a 13.3-inch ultraportable that travels easily but has sluggish performance and short battery life.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Onboard (shared Memory) GPU built in the GM45, GE45 and GS45 chipset (Montevina). Because of two more shaders and a higher core clock, much faster than the old GMA X3100. Still not advisable for gamers (DirectX 10 games not playable or only with very low settings). The integrated video processor is able to help decode HD videos (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) , e.g., for a fluent Blu-Ray playback with slow CPUs.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

SU2700: Entry level Single Core CPU with less power saving states as the Core line and because of the slow clock rate (1.3 GHz) not very fast. 13.3": This is a common display format for subnotebooks. Netbooks, UMPC and some subnotebooks have tinier displays. Nevertheless, the majority of standard laptops has a higher format. The advantage of a small display is, that the subnotebook can be small dimensioned and can be carried easily. Further the small display needs few energy, which improves the battery runtime and in consequence the mobility. 1.5 kg: This sub-notebook weighs less than the average of all notebooks and represents a medium class of weight among the sub-notebooks. 11 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.

Eurocom: Eurocom (founded: October 1988) is a UK-based video game developer founded specifically to develop games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Later, Eurocom has expanded to other platforms and also sells laptops with own brand. The official location of the company is in Canada. According laptops, Eurocom focusses desktop replacement laptops for the sell regions Anglo-America and UK.
