Xiaomi Redmi K50i lands in three colours with a 144 Hz display and 'extreme performance'

Xiaomi has unleashed the Redmi K50i, a re-branded Redmi Note 11T Pro that the company will sell in India. Hence, the Redmi K50i relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 8100, a 5 nm chipset with four Cortex-A78 cores, four Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. Additionally, Xiaomi equips the handset with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage.

Moreover, the Redmi K50i has a 6.6-inch IPS display that operates at 1080p, 144 Hz and with a 270 Hz touch sampling rate. Separately, the smartphone relies on a 5,0780 mAh battery that it can recharge at up to 67 W. Unsurprisingly, a large battery and display results in a large footprint. Specifically, the Redmi K50i measures 163.64 x 74.29 x 8.87 mm and weighs 200 g.

Furthermore, Xiaomi includes 64 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro and 16 MP front-facing cameras. Thankfully, Xiaomi preloads MIUI 13 based on Android 12, rather than the older Android 11. The Redmi K50i will be available on July 23 in India, where it will start at INR 25,999 (~US$325) with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Xiaomi will offer the smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for INR 28,999 (~US$362). Please note that these are introductory prices, after which they will rise to INR 31,999 (~US$400) and INR 35,999 (~US$450), respectively.
