The Schenker VIA 14 is a laptop that combines functionality with portability. It has the specifications recommended for an ideal companion for permanent mobile use, such as an opening angle of 180 degrees that allows the laptop to be placed flat on a table. As for the design, it has a slim lightweight chassis, partially made of an innovative magnesium alloy, giving the laptop not only excellent portability and a high degree of durability but also an elegant and modern appearance. In consideration of its bigger display area of 14 inches, the Schenker VIA 14 is very lightweight with only around 1.49 kg. With its particularly compact dimensions of only 23.5 x 34 x 1.7 cm, it is also one of the most portable representatives of its kind. Under the hood, the Schenker VIA 14 has an Intel Core i5-7Y54, which is designed for high-performance mobile computing. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 500 GB of SSD storage. Highly efficient components enable fan-free and therefore noiseless operation and still provide you with adequate performance in your daily work or playback of multimedia content.

The display of the Schenker VIA 14 is a 14.0" Full-HD IPS non-glare display. With a screen diagonal of 14 inches and a screen-to-body ratio of 82 percent, the VIA 14 offers a balanced compromise between visible area and portability and is unbeatable in mobile use. The Schenker VIA 14 is powered by a battery with an impressive capacity of 91 watt-hours. The additional use of efficient components, such as a power-efficient processor and graphics processor, enables the laptop to last well beyond one working day in mobile operation. With over 15 hours of runtime when browsing and around 12 hours of video playback, the Schenker VIA 14 offers enough power for users to stay away from the socket. As for input and output ports, the slim Schenker VIA 14 comes with a surprisingly wide variety of external interfaces, including an HDMI output and three USB ports, one of which is a Type-C slot with power delivery support. The latter also outputs a DisplayPort signal and thus enables the connection to an additional external monitor. In conclusion, the Schenker VIA 14 is a slim, lightweight, power-saving laptop with decent performance. It has a mid-range price point, which is suitable for business or professional users who need a portable but still powerful laptop.

Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

i5-10210U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.6 and 4.2 GHz (all 4 cores 3.9 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4-2933 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
