Samsung Mongoose benchmarks leak online

Samsung Exynos M1/Mongoose benchmark results leak online
Samsung Exynos chip
Also known as Exynos M1, this upcoming SoC promises almost 50 percent better multi-core performance when compared to the Apple A9.

Recent reports claim that Samsung is currently working on a new Exynos SoC and today SamMobile found even some benchmark results. This new chip has a new architecture that uses custom cores for improved performance and efficiency. Its name is Mongoose but is also known as Exynos M1. While the model number is unknown for now, the source mentioned above claims this chip might be the Exynos 8890.

An image published on Weibo reveals a maximum score for the Samsung Exynos M1 of 2,294 in single-core tests and 6,908 for multi-core. The Samsung Exynos 7420 scored 1,486 and 4,970 while the Apple A9 chip managed to reach 2,487 in single-core and 4,330 in multi-core. All these results have been obtained using the notorious Geekbench benchmark.

Samsung still has to announce this chip so the scores mentioned above should be taken with a grain of salt, since this could not be the final version of the Mongoose and the performance of the product that will reach consumers should be higher.
