Samsung Galaxy A9 gets leaked Geekbench results

The Galaxy A9 smartphone from Samsung is believed to have been recently spotted in the Geekbench results under the SM-A9200 codename. This is rumored to be the first quad-rear-cam handheld with premium mid-range specs.

Performance-wise, the A9 model featured in the Geekbench tests managed to score 1609 points in single-core mode and 5844 in multi-core mode, results that are in-line with other handhelds powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Additionally it comes with 6 GB of RAM and is running Android 8.0 out of the box. This model also features a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen and a 3,720 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0.

Apart from the impressive quad-cam setup that is supposed to include a 24 MP sensor with f/1.7 lens, a 10 MP sensor with f/2.4 telephoto lens, an 8 MP sensor with f/2.4 wide angle lens and a 5 MP sensor with f/2.2 lens for depth of field effects, the A9 also features a 24 MP selfie camera with a Sony sensor. With the introduction of quad-camera setups, Samsung is also rumored to include a new cooling system that improves heat dissipation in the camera area. The fingerprint sensor is also located on the back.

Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy A9 on October 11.
