Alleged specifications for “AMD Navi” have been posted online. The new information offered seems to correspond with existing rumors about the Radeon RX 3080 Navi 10 graphics solution. Apparently, the performance of the Navi GPU places it between AMD’s Vega 56 and Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1080, but the supposed price is much cheaper than Nvidia’s product.

Considering the source, it’s very important to be skeptical about the new rumored specifications for one of AMD’s upcoming Navi products. Not only was the information leaked onto 4channel (4chan’s “safe for work” site) but the original poster claims to work for AMD. There’s always the remote chance this is true, but best to take it with a healthy dose of cynicism.

According to the shared data, the AMD Navi GPU in question will utilize AMD’s Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer (efficient pixel shading), and it will be marketed under Next Generation Geometry (NGG). In terms of numbers, apparently this GPU will have 32 kB level 1 cache, 3076 kB level 2 cache, a 256-bit memory bus, and a 410 GB/s memory bandwidth. Nvidia states 320 GB/s bandwidth for its GeForce GTX 1080.

A little more information is offered about the possible Navi 10/AMD Radeon RX 3080 graphics. A boost rate of 1.8 GHz is mentioned as is a TDP of 150 W, which is a specification we reported on in December (along with 8 GB of GDDR6 RAM). The leaker claims the product will perform at levels between a Vega 56 and GTX 1080, but it will only cost a very reasonable US$259, which also matches the rumored price in our item from the end of last year.

Of course, even if they are fake at least the latest leaked specifications are believable for a Radeon RX 3080 Navi 10 graphics card. The poster does state that the information is “99% accurate” – and if it is then Nvidia will certainly have something to worry about when AMD’s potential price-performance champion hits the streets. With the GeForce GTX 1080 currently listed on Nvidia’s website at US$549, it’s likely gamers will end up heading over to the red team for a Navi 10-powered RX 3080.
