Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) gets Android 10 with One UI 2.0
Samsung's first phone to sport four rear cameras has just received its second major update. The Android 10/One UI 2.0 update arrives one year after the Galaxy A9 (2018) got the Android 9.0 Pie update. The changelog is not official yet, but all the One UI 2.0 and Android 10 goodies should be present.

Announced in October 2018 and released one month later, the Galaxy A9 (2018) was the first handset made by Samsung to hit the market with four cameras on its back. Powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, it launched with Android 8.0 Oreo-based firmware onboard and was updated to Android 9.0 Pie one year ago. Now, the time has come for Android 10 and One UI 2.0 to hit it as well.

According to SamMobile, the new firmware includes the March 2020 security patch and its version number is A920FXXU3CTCD. Currently rolling out in Poland, it should reach other markets soon as well. While the official changelog is not available yet, it is quite obvious that the update includes the highlights of both Android 10 and One UI 2.0, such as improved Digital Wellbeing, new parental controls, dedicated Night mode, slow-motion selfie videos, a built-in screen recorder, and more.

Considering Samsung's current update policy, this is the last major OS upgrade that Galaxy A9 (2018) users get to enjoy. However, this handset should receive new security updates every three months for at least another year. As usual, the new firmware is available as an OTA update, but it can also be downloaded and installed manually by those who want it as soon as possible.
